With its high tensional and flexural strength, flame resistance, outstanding rheology resulting in a great dimensional stability, high work temperature and high chemical resistance, as well as biocompatibility, Ultem™ 9085 is used in a variety of high performance applications in aerospace, medical devices, automotive and electrical/electronics applications. 


Due to its ultimate properties, this material is often used in tooling applications, including but not limited to injection molds, vacuum forming tools, and composites autoclavable tools. 

Ultem™ 9085 is especially good for Automotive applications, due to it's high strength and resistance to chemicals. 

Filament Specifications:

  • Diameter:  1.75mm (+/- 0.05mm)
  • Colors:  Translucent Orange/Gold

Recommended Printing Specs:

  • Nozzle Temperature: 350 – 390°C (all-metal extruder required)
  • Buildplate Temperature: 140 – 160°C
  • Chamber temperature of 90°C
  • Bed Prep: PVP Gluestick on Glass with our bed prep process
  • No cooling fans
  • Print speeds of 15-20mm/s (starting point)
