Why EZ GO
The scanner that doesn't need a gaming laptop.
Every other Einstar we sell streams to a computer, and that computer usually costs more than the scanner. The EZ GO skips it. If you've wanted to try 3D scanning but never owned an NVIDIA laptop, this is the way in.
Magnetic snap-on
Your phone is the screen.
The phone snaps on magnetically and you scan one-handed. There's no extra hardware to buy and nothing to carry except a 288g scanner that fits in your pocket.
Real-time preview
Watch the model build as you scan.
You see the scan on your phone while you take it, so you catch a missed spot before you put the object away. Adjust settings right there on the screen.
AI tracking
No markers to stick on.
Einstar's AI tracking follows the object itself, and they rate it for black, reflective and low-texture surfaces. That's the short list of what usually trips up a cheap scanner, so we'll put it to the test on our own bench.
3D Gaussian Splatting
Hair, fuzz and glass that look real.
Along with a regular textured scan, the EZ GO can build a 3D Gaussian Splat (3DGS) in the cloud, so plush, hair, plants and glassware look like the real thing on screen, and your phone doesn't do the heavy lifting. A splat is made for viewing, though. It isn't a printable mesh on its own.
Up to 80,000 lux
Works outside
Take it out of the shop. It's rated for bright environments up to 80,000 lux.
Infrared VCSEL
Safe for scanning people
The infrared VCSEL light source is built for scanning faces and bodies.
Wide capture area
Medium to large objects
Furniture, sculpture and other big shapes, with a capture area sized for them.
No computer in the loop
Scan, check and share from your phone.
Point it, watch the preview and get a 3D model right away. If you've used a phone camera, you can run this.
Phone app
Up and scanning in minutes.
Einstar built the EZ GO for first-time scanners: measure something, save it, design from it or send it to a friend.
Live preview
See the model on your phone as you scan.
Adjust on the fly
Change settings on the screen, mid-job.
Full color
The RGB camera captures color with the scan.
3DGS in the cloud
Lifelike results on hair, fabric, glass and metal.
Own a laptop with an NVIDIA RTX 3060 or an Apple Silicon Mac? Look at the Einstar 2 first: you get a blue laser for black and shiny parts. No computer like that? The EZ GO is your scanner.
All three are hobby grade. Einstar doesn't publish an accuracy spec, so we don't quote one. Need a measured number on a report? Look at the Rigil (0.04mm) or a FreeScan (0.02mm).

Quick answers
Does it work with iPhone and Android?
Einstar hasn't published the supported phone list yet. We'll post it here as soon as they do, at launch on November 11. If you need an answer for a specific phone, call us at 833-774-6863.
What do I need to run it?
A supported phone. There's no laptop or NVIDIA graphics card to buy. The handle powers the scanner, and you'll want an internet connection for 3D Gaussian Splatting, which runs in the cloud.
EZ GO or Einstar 2?
It comes down to your computer. If you have an NVIDIA RTX 3060 laptop or an Apple Silicon Mac, the Einstar 2 gives you a blue laser. If you don't, the EZ GO saves you buying one.
How accurate is it?
Einstar doesn't publish an accuracy number, so we don't either. It's a hobby-grade scanner. If you need a measured number on an inspection report, look at the Rigil (0.04mm) or a FreeScan (0.02mm).
Can I 3D print my scans?
A Gaussian splat can't go straight into a slicer: it's made for viewing, not printing. Printing needs a mesh from the regular scan. Einstar hasn't published the export formats yet, and we'll post them here at launch.
Do I need markers?
No. Einstar's AI tracking follows the object itself.
When can I buy one?
It launches November 11, 2026. We'll post pricing here that day. Email contact@visionminer.com and we'll let you know when it's live.
Do you demo Einstar scanners?
Not on Einstar models. Call us with your part and we'll tell you straight which scanner will handle it. Live demos start at the Rigil.
