3DXMAX® PC (Polycarbonate) is a premium high-heat 3D printing filament made using Lexan® Polycarbonate from Sabic. PC has some of the best mechanical properties & high-heat resistance in the 3D Printing world (Tg of 147°C). Our PC allows for the printing of functional prototypes and production parts with very fine detail and excellent surface quality. 3DXMAX® PC is suitable for use in both consumer-grade and industrial FDM/FFF printers that have a heated print bed and extruders which can reach upwards of 300°C.
This polymer was developed specifically for 3D printing functional prototypes and end-use parts. It was formulated to allow for ease of printing coupled with exceptional mechanical and thermal properties.
PC™ Polycarbonate is an excellent choice for printing parts that would ordinarily fail when using standard materials such as PLA, PETG, or ABS. We consider this an excellent bridge in performance between these lower performance materials and higher priced materials such as Ultem or
Filament Diameter Specs:
1.75mm +/- 0.05mm
Recommended Print Conditions:
Extruder: 280-310°C
Bed Temp: 90-120°C
Bed Prep: Nano Polymer Adhesive
Enclosure: Although not 100% necessary, we recommend using a printer with an enclosure to help keep some heat in while printing with PC.
Cooling: No cooling fan with print speeds of 20mm/s as a starting point
Support: Aquasys 120
