What is Geomagic Control X Essentials?

Geomagic Control X Essentials is the entry tier of Control X, Hexagon's 3D scan inspection software. It lines a scan up with your CAD model and shows you what's off: alignment, 3D color deviation maps, 2D sections, CAD-aware dimensioning, GD&T and PMI import, with reports and repeatable inspection routines.

Essentials works with saved scan files. The Essentials Connect version adds live capture from supported scanners and portable CMM arms. Both suit first-article checks, incoming inspection and shops starting with scan-based quality control.

License options

What the options mean

Subscription

One year of access with updates and support. Lowest cost to start; renew yearly.

Perpetual

Yours to keep. Includes the first year of maintenance (updates + support); renewing after that is optional.

Maintenance renewal
