Tough 1000 Resin (Form 4)

Tough 1000 Resin is Formlabs' ductile, impact-resistant resin for the Form 4 family, and the replacement for Durable Resin. It matches HDPE for strength, stiffness and toughness, and runs low-friction like Delrin (POM).

Parts bend, squeeze and take hits without cracking. Elongation at break is 180%, and Gardner impact is 13.1 J at 1/32" (HDPE is 5.4 J). Next to Durable Resin, Formlabs rates it at 5x the fracture toughness and 2x the elongation, with better heat, creep and aging resistance.

Use it for impact-resistant jigs and fixtures, squeezable prototypes, hinges and snap fits, and low-friction parts like gears and ball joints.
