Wireless, markerless and full color, with an NVIDIA Jetson computer and a touchscreen built in. 101 blue laser lines for detail, two infrared modes for big objects and shiny surfaces, and a 48MP camera for color. Scan and mesh on the device, indoors or out in direct sun.

Order your scanner
See it scan your part first. We'll run it on your part over live video, or hands-on at our shop in Santa Ana, CA.
Libre is for the jobs where a laptop and cables get in the way: boat fly bridges, job sites, museums, heavy equipment. The computer, screen and batteries are in the scanner, the laser doesn't need markers, and the color is good enough for heritage work.
Standalone
No laptop. No cable. No cart.
A 5.5-inch touchscreen, an NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX (8-core CPU, 1024 CUDA cores) and a 1TB SSD are built into the scanner. Scan, mesh and export STL, OBJ, ASC or LAS on the device. Batteries slide into a charging dock, so a fresh one is always ready.

Laser HD · 101 lines
Markerless laser detail, in color.
101 blue laser lines scan down to 0.05mm and track off the part's geometry and texture, so most parts need no markers. That's where the 0.04 + 0.06 mm/m volumetric accuracy comes from.
IR Rapid
Big objects, out in the sun.
Invisible, eye-safe infrared covers objects from 0.1m to over 10m, with up to 1.5m of working distance and a 983 × 979mm field of view. It doesn't mind direct sunlight.
IR Adaptive · 38 IR lines
Black and shiny, handled.
38 infrared laser lines are tuned for reflective and black surfaces that trip up other scanners. This mode tracks with markers.
48MP color
Color that holds up
Lifelike texture for heritage, art and visualization.
Optional
Field backpack
Shining 3D's backpack carries the scanner, batteries and calibration boards. Ask us about it.
Scale bar + photogrammetry
Accuracy on big parts
The validated scale bar verifies markers in real time to hold accuracy on large scans.
In the box, not on a bill
Scan to mesh, on the scanner.
Libre's software runs on the device with no subscription. Generate a mesh with one tap, clean it up on screen and export. Connect to a PC when you want to fuse scans or edit on a big screen.
Included · on-device + PC software
No subscription. No per-scan fees.
On-device scanning and meshing, plus PC software for fusing scans and measuring.
Data quality indicator
Blue means enough data, yellow means scan it again.
Range indicator
A projected green box shows exactly what's being scanned.
Change resolution mid-project
Adjust resolution without starting a new scan.
Multi-resolution fusion
Combine scans from different modes on the PC.
WORKS WITH: EXModel · Geomagic Design X · BlueStar Mapping · Geomagic Control X
Both are all-in-one and wireless, with the same 0.04mm volumetric accuracy. Rigil is the value pick for reverse engineering. Libre adds 101 laser lines, an IR mode for shiny surfaces, an NVIDIA computer, a 48MP color camera and hot-swap field kit for full-color work, big objects and all-day use away from the shop.
Scan, mesh and export on the Libre itself. Plug into a PC when you want to fuse scans from different modes, measure or edit on a big screen.
It ships in a rolling Pelican-style case that fits in an overhead bin, so it travels to the job with you.
Magnetic scanning pyramids + a can of AESUB Blue, on us
Every scanner we ship includes a set of our magnetic scanning pyramids (stick markers on them and set them around the part for tracking, no stickers on the part itself) and a can of AESUB Blue, the spray that disappears on its own. It's our little bundle, and you only get it here.
Rigil if you're reverse engineering parts in the shop and want the best value. Libre if you need 48MP color, big objects in the field, a dedicated mode for shiny surfaces, or all-day scanning away from a power outlet.
What's the smallest and largest part it can scan?
Laser HD handles parts down to about 5cm. IR mode covers objects up to 10m, and more if you align multiple scans.
Which scan mode should I use?
Under a meter or so: Laser HD for detail, with no markers. Bigger objects: IR Rapid. Black or reflective surfaces: IR Adaptive, which tracks with markers.
Do I need a computer?
No. Scanning, meshing and export happen on the scanner. A PC is optional for fusing scans and editing.
Does it work outdoors?
Yes. IR Rapid is designed to cope with direct sunlight, and there's no laptop to keep out of the dust.
Yes. Book a live video demo and we'll scan your part (ship it to us or show it on camera), or bring it to our shop in Santa Ana, CA. You walk away with the scan data and a straight answer, even if that answer is a cheaper scanner.
Can I finance it or buy on a PO?
Yes. Click Finance it for a 60-second application, or email contact@visionminer.com. Need a formal quote for a PO? Request one here.
Not needed to start scanning. Add them when the job calls for it.
Geomagic software
Turn scans into CAD and inspection reports.
The scanner gives you a mesh. Geomagic turns it into a parametric model you can edit, or a color map and report QA can sign. We sell it, set it up and train your team on it.
Geomagic Design X Go
Scan to editable CAD for SOLIDWORKS, Fusion or Inventor.
