Fuse 1+ 30W

A 30W fiber laser, a 165 x 165 x 300mm build chamber you can pack top to bottom, and no support structures at all. The Fuse 1+ puts real nylon production parts on a printer that runs off a dedicated 120V circuit, with no three-phase power and no facility project.

Our recommendation

Complete Package

The whole Fuse workflow: printer, two build chambers, stand, Fuse Sift, and Fuse Blast with the polishing kit. One chamber prints while the other cools, Sift recovers your powder, and Blast cleans and polishes parts in about 15 minutes. This is the one we recommend.

Standard Package

Printer, build chamber, stand, powder cartridge, industrial vacuum, and Fuse Sift. No Fuse Blast, so someone bead-blasts every part by hand. Add a Blast later and you're at the Complete package.

Why Fuse 1+ 30W

SLS: easier and faster than ever

SLS used to mean a six-figure machine, three-phase power, and a full-time operator. The Fuse 1+ brought it down to a benchtop footprint and a standard circuit, and per Formlabs, more than half of the world's SLS users now run a Fuse.

No supports

Pack the whole chamber

Unsintered powder holds every part in place while it prints, so there are no supports to design or cut off. Stack parts in 3D, nest small ones inside big ones, and fill the 165 x 165 x 300mm chamber top to bottom. PreForm does the packing automatically.

30W laser

Tough parts overnight

A 30W Ytterbium fiber laser sinters at 0.063 kg/hr. Load a packed build at the end of the day and have parts the next morning, in Nylon 12, Nylon 11, glass- or carbon-filled nylon, or TPU.

Closed loop

Reuse the powder you didn't sinter

Fuse Sift recovers unsintered powder, mixes it with fresh, and doses it back into the cartridge. Less powder in the trash means a lower cost per part, and Fuse Blast finishes the parts in about 15 minutes.

120V

Fits a normal shop

A dedicated 120V, 15A circuit and two-stage HEPA and carbon filtration on the exhaust. The printer sits on a 4.8 sq ft footprint: no facility retrofit, no ventilation project.

Cost per part

In-house beats outsourced

Formlabs priced two real shop parts four ways. Injection molding still wins on piece price, but you wait 5–6 weeks and pay for a mold first. Against outsourced SLS and machining, the Fuse 1+ wins on cost and on lead time.

Start with one

Add printers when the orders show up

You don't have to buy a production cell on day one. Fuse Sift and Fuse Blast are shared across printers, so capacity grows one printer at a time.

1

Industrial SLS in an office

A dedicated 120V circuit and a 4.8 sq ft footprint. Prototypes on demand, short runs overnight.

2

Redundancy

A second printer means a maintenance day or a long build never stops parts from going out the door.

3+

A fleet

One Fuse Sift and one Fuse Blast serve several printers. The Production packages are built around exactly this.

These are the compact powder bed printers people cross-shop against the Fuse 1+. Each one wins a line or two on a spec sheet. Put the whole picture together (powders you can run today, a published cost model, the easiest install, a finished-part workflow, and 3,000+ machines already in the field) and the Fuse 1+ is the one we'd put in your shop. Since 2026

HP MJF 1200

A machine you can't buy yet

HP's newest machine gives you about 12 L and an easy install. It runs one powder at launch, and HP hasn't published agent or printhead pricing, so you can't model cost per part on it yet. The Fuse 1+ is less than half HP's price ceiling, runs seven powders, and ships today.

Raise3D RMS220

More chamber, more unknowns

The RMS220 has a bigger chamber (about 17 L) and switches powders faster. But it's a first-year platform, it needs a 240V circuit and shop air, and Raise3D doesn't publish a PA 12 refresh rate or a max packing density, the two numbers that decide your cost per part. Its powders are almost all black, with no white nylon and no carbon fiber nylon. The Fuse 1+ publishes both numbers, prints white and carbon fiber today, and has 3,000+ units of debugging behind it.

Sinterit Lisa X / Suzy

Smaller, pricier, and only grey

Sinterit's 7.7 L is smaller than the Fuse 1+'s 8.2 L, and the Suzy costs about $1,300 more than a Fuse 1+ printer. Its diode laser needs carbon black in the powder to sinter, so every Sinterit nylon is grey or black. Its free open-material policy is nice for labs developing their own powder. For everyone making parts, the Fuse 1+ prints white, carbon fiber, and TPU today, and finishes them in a Fuse Blast instead of at a bench with a brush.

Facility

The easiest install of the four

One dedicated 120V circuit, and Nylon 12 prints in plain air: no nitrogen, no compressor for the printer, no 240V run. Of these four machines, the Fuse 1+ is the easiest to put in a building.

Specs and prices from each manufacturer's published pages as of October 2026. HP's MJF 1200 price is HP's published ceiling. Raise3D's setup total uses Raise3D store prices for the printer, C220-P, and second build unit, plus the B520 at $9,999 as reported by All3DP. Comparison images from Formlabs.

FAQ

Fuse 1+ questions

How long does a build take?

It depends on how full you pack the chamber. Formlabs rates the Fuse 1+ at 0.063 kg/hr. The fastest way to get a real number is to download PreForm, load your parts, and let it pack the build: it shows the print time.

Do I need nitrogen?

No. The Fuse 1+ prints in air. Nitrogen is an option through the inert gas interface. Call us and we'll tell you whether your material and parts benefit from it.

What power does it need?

In the US, a dedicated 120V, 15A circuit. No three-phase power.

Why do you recommend the Complete package?

Because SLS parts come out of the chamber covered in powder. Without Fuse Sift and Fuse Blast, someone brushes and bead-blasts every part by hand, and that labor eats the time the printer saved you. The Complete package is the full workflow, with a second chamber so the printer never waits on cooldown.

Can I start smaller?

Yes. The Starter package uses the manual Depowdering Kit, and the Standard adds the Sift. Both work. You'll want a Fuse Blast as soon as you're running more than a few builds a month.

Fuse 1+ or Fuse X1?

Fuse 1+ for a small footprint, a 120V circuit, and a $24,649 start. Fuse X1 when you need 7.5x the build volume, parts up to 713mm long, and about 5x the throughput, at $84,999 on a 208–240V single-phase circuit.

Can I finance it or buy on a PO?

Both. Apply for financing here › (the 60-second application opens on this page), or request a formal quote for your purchasing team.
